I think the background may need to be a little darker, but I'll take your word on it.

Yeah, It should be a little bit darker. Also, you might want to reduce the size of the render a bit.

Ok, I'll do that now. I'm going to change the render though.

Darker:

Maybe a bit TOO dark now. But oh well, I like it..

Awesome Tutorial. Very easy for beginners like myself. I have very little experience with photoshop but I could follow easily with this. Thank.

Here is my outcome :

Lookin good ya'll. I just never liked those types of signatures though, i prefer clearer, more like .. mmh scenery based ones. :x

About an interesting addition to windows aero:
Filling Aero with water sounds like a bad idea...knowing Microsoft, it would just leak...

make a new colour balance for each colour you want to add.
Then click on the little white box next to it on the layer (it's called the 'mask'). Use filter -> render -> clouds.
The white box should now be in a cloudish pattern of black/white. Black on the mask hides the colours in that particular area of the layer, while white makes it show (you can also use a brush to make the mask ofc).

Hope that helps :)
